Hello, all !
Back again with me Lelaapril2004 here I will discuss a very good project about the project "{ GLADIUS }" Let's get started ?
Gladius is a decentralized solution to protect against DDoS attacks by letting you connect to a pool of protection near you to provide better protection and speed up your content. With an easy-to-use interface and great insight tools, Gladius allows one to protect and speed up their site.
DDoS attacks are becoming increasingly true of business operations with online presence. This attack could spend tremendous amounts of money, not only in lost uptime, but also losses in consumer confidence and public relations crisis.
Everyday, 40 petabytes of data flows through the internet.
Most of the malicious traffic from denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks is distributed, common bot-based attacks that slow access to online services, forcing legitimate websites and applications offline. Companies that were devastated by this attack lost an average of $ 500,000 per attack. Over 300,000 DDoS attacks annually mean an annual loss of $ 150 billion.
What's more, every day, millions of online businesses lose potential users or customers due to a poor user experience. According to data from Google and Kissmetrics, the average user will only wait about 3 seconds before deciding to leave a website. Users need the next page to load to find what's next and what to click on. They need a prompt around the loading screen to see the big yellow buttons that seem to order them to be purchased. They ask their favorite social media sites to load as soon as possible to connect with their peers with an unrelenting need for human contact.
Of course there are tools and resources available to increase website loading speed and protect from traffic-based attacks like DDoS. The question is whether they are affordable, accessible, scalable, and customizable. All existing solutions currently lose at least one of these important features. Fortunately blockchain technology solves this with a decentralized sharing economy.
At Gladius, we have made it our mission to harness the power of decentralization in optimizing network traffic for the speed and robustness of DDoS attacks. Our platform is the next step in the evolution of website optimization and protection services.
DDoS Protection is for Everyone
DDoS attacks can be expensive and debilitating for any business. While some believe that only large companies are at risk, 50% of all websites will be victims of denial of service attacks. It is integral that all online organizations have multiple solutions to protect from the worst.
DDoS attacks cost millions for household names like Twitter, BBC, and Netflix. DDoS attacks can be rumored to cost companies between $ 100,000 and $ 250,000 per hour. And for big businesses that rely on online traffic for revenue, DDoS mitigation solutions can spend tens of millions just to fight when an attack is being done.
Blockchain - The Missing Puzzle Piece
The ability to reduce DDoS attacks while creating an effective and secure CDN puts our team in a unique position. Fully utilizing blockchain technology allows us to put power in the hands of the people. Having an independent node platform that is able to transfer money without stopping consists of our core network.
Network nodes and ponds lead to highly competitive markets where pools can manage prices, special network settings, and compete for businesses. As a consequence, users will get the best service with the most competitive price. It is our mission to make the internet safer and faster for business and end users.
Gladius's goal is to create a fully decentralized and peer-to-peer network to connect the world's unused bandwidth to websites looking for DDoS protection and accelerated content delivery. Anyone with a computer can download Gladius peer clients and run them in the background to lease their unused bandwidth and get Gladius Tokens (GLA) in the process. Large pools with hundreds, if not thousands, nodes can then handle a continuous stream of requests to validate website connections and block malicious activity while improving loading time via a decentralized CDN.
The client node can be built on any Linux, Windows, or MacOS machine and will automatically run in the background when you select it. A node can then select their bandwidth capabilities and sign up to join the pool. Once received, any requests for the user's computer to process it will give them a Gladius Tokens. In turn, users can sell this token back to the website to create an economic cycle that drives the growth of the Gladius Network.
Websites that seek protection will only be able to create accounts on Gladius sites, buy Gladius Tokens, and then request service installation in a few clicks. When a website is part of the Gladius network, a live schedule will be available to monitor connection, security, location and other information.
The client node can easily create local accounts and wallets, configure network settings to open the necessary ports, join any pool that works best for them, and start getting GLA. Users will be able to switch when they rent. Advanced features include configuration settings that allow toggling services automatically based on time, other running programs, and other user parameters that can be configured in depth.
With Gladius, it's all about empowering everyone to contribute to making the Internet a better and safer place through faster website access and DDoS attack mitigation - while making money in return.
Project Gladius
Since the beginning of the internet, the technology around the website has continued to grow. With this new technology comes the power to increase online presence online but also harm it. Technology is really the two largest-edged swords.
Gladius's mission is to eliminate losses caused by new vulnerabilities and utilize the same decentralized networking style that has been used by attackers for a long time. Gladius mainly deals with the protection of DDoS attackers and the application of high-quality CDN.
While there are many people who believe that DDoS protection is only necessary in very few situations, DDoS protection is important for entities that have a presence on the internet. DDoS attacks cost millions for household names like Blizzard Entertainment, BBC, and GitHub. The average DDoS attack cost the company 2.5 million dollars.
Every business wants to improve the speed of their site and also their response time. A well-done CDN can do not only that but also extend the reach of sites that offer unparalleled access in every corner of the world. The big profit CDN gives to businesses is easy to see by the fact that the CDN market by 2015 is worth $ 4.95 billion but is expected to more than triple by 2020 to $ 15.73 billion.
The ability to greatly, if not completely, eliminate DDoS attacks and the ability to create effective and secure CDNs makes the Gladius team in a unique position. The team's goal is to make full use of blockchain technology to counter DDoS attacks and provide competitive CDN services. However, most importantly, the Gladius team is constantly striving towards a highly competitive marketplace to bring consumers the best service. This goal is always at the forefront of Gladius's mission to make business safer and more effective.
Gladius Token
For this platform, Gladius will release Gladius Token, or GLA. The token bid will still be issued when Token Creation and its tokens will no longer exist.
GLA will be a key component to Gladius Network as it will be used by websites to purchase DDoS and CDN services. The majority of the costs will go to owner nodes (each rent their backup bandwidth) with a small fraction going back to development and protocol support. All fees will be denominated in GLA, which may change based on supply and demand.
The owners of the previously mentioned nodes that are part of the protection pool will basically act as miners and provide incentives to the GLA for their network support. Owners will be paid for their respective jobs in this official mining pool. Unlike typical blockchains, mining will be rewarded for sharing bandwidth rather than work evidence, and currency ownership (stock evidence).
Token is designed in such a way that it will likely reflect the growth of Gladius Network. In addition Gladius will see commissions for node owners in currencies other than GLA.
